001/366 - Withered Tomato Vine
The start of my 365 (2012 is a leap year, so officially it is a 366) project.

One day in, it has proved much more difficult than I thought it would. Mainly because:

1) I want to stretch my creativity.

2) I found it difficult to choose which photo would be it for the day.

On the suggestion of my wife, I've kind decided to run three parallel 366 projects. The other two will be of my kids. "Kind of"? I'm not 100% sure I'm going to stick with the 366 thing for my kids. I'm not sure it is going to be possible to take sufficient variety of photos of the kids, when I'm at work for five days per week, and only have limited opportunity to take happy snaps of them.

In the comments below will be a couple of rejects for you all to look at.
002/366 - Shopping Blur
I'm not completely happy with this pic. Ideally it would be sitting on a tripod so the handrails are sharp. Ho hum, it isn't a complete right off.

Day two was a smidge easier than choosing day one.

Mainly because the only other shot I specifically went for, completely crashed and burned, thanks to my son putting his hand in front of the lense just as a pressed the shutter. It was a sneaky street shot, so... that was the moment missed.
003/366 - Ava
My beautiful daugther fresh from an afternoon sleep and not quite sure about the cold Zooper Dooper.
004/366 - No Stopping
This pic manages to capture one of my current interests, over exposed photos. Get the subject about right, but have the rest blown out.

It is simple, but I like it.
005/366 - Port Botany
View from Head of the Dock at Port Botany.

Saw the pic on my ride in to work, so came back later in the day to capture.
006/366 - Sushi Train
This pic is the best thing about doing the 365, as it made me take my camera with me, which meant I could capture this pic.

There were other options for today's photo, but they fell by the wayside as soon as I got this.
007/366 - The Sun and the Buildings - Selection
One week in, and on the face of it, things are getting a little easier. I think I've got my head around the concept that you're best to take the camera with you where ever you go, and be prepared to take photos of interesting things you see. Hence today's shot.

First up. I like it. As soon as I saw it, I liked it. As soon as I took it, I liked it.

I've only one small regret, and that was having the ISO setting a on too high from an earlier photo, so there is more noise in it than I would have liked.

When I took the photo, I said, this is staying in Colour... Ultimately I decided on black and white, but not after a long hard look at my favourite colour version (below).

I hope you like.
008/366 - Water Fun
If we'd let the kids, they could play at the Water Table all day.

Today was a good day to try and get some 365 Project photos courtesy of a day around town. Unfortunately nothing jumped out.

But I'm quite happy with how my series of overhead photos (at the Water Table) worked out. It gives a really nice perspective.
009/366 - Back at Work
Subjects from the 9th of January were very thin on the ground, courtesy of being back at work.

I had pretty much decided on taking a photo of my own feet as the photo of the day, so was very pleased that I noticed these tiles. Unfortunately this was pretty much taken right at 1pm, so made it hard getting a pic without a shadow of the Camera in it (as well as avoiding a photo of my crutch).

Not unhappy. It could be my photo from today 10th of January... Bad!
